It is located halfway between Valenciennes (20 km), Tournai (23 km) and Mons (32 km).
The City of Péruwelz was formed by the merging of 9 villages with the urban area of Péruwelz.

The Natural Park of the Plain Scheldt
The Natural Park of the Plain Scheldt consists of the following 6 municipal places:
Rumes, Brunehaut, Antoing, Péruwelz, Bernissart and Beloeil.
This rural area has many treasures that deserve to be preserved.
But above all, this is an area where people live and work.
In a natural park, the protection of nature is therefore an important mission, but not only that, quite the opposite! Preservation of life, giving value to heritage and expertise, education of the environment, public reception, local economic development, … here are the range of actions in a natural park, in addition on protecting biodiversity.
All these actions should be implemented in harmony with the inhabitants who are the first actors of the territory.
The Home of Natural Park is located in Bon-Secours.

Visit the various areas of the Forest Halt, true gateway to the forest of Bon-Secours. In “Explor’Forêt”, you can discover the forest ecosystem. You can wander in the Pic’Orée, land upside down or height of foliage on the Walk of summits, architectural structure 50 meters long and up to 16 m high.
